Family Emergency Plan

Fill this in together, then print a copy for the fridge, each go-bag, and the glove box. A plan everyone has seen beats a perfect plan nobody remembers.

Tip: fill it in on paper, not just on a screen — the whole point is something you can grab when the power and the Wi-Fi are out.

Household members

Out-of-area contact

Pick one person who lives far enough away that they likely won’t be affected by the same event. During an emergency, local lines jam first — so everyone checks in with this one person, who relays that you’re safe.

Meeting places

Important contacts

School & childcare plan

Utility shut-offs
